Kini was running through the meadow. She loved the way the wind whipped through her hair. She put her arms out and closed her eyes so she would feel like she was flying. She smiled. She stopped running and fell to her knees, arms still outstretched and eyes still closed. Then she rolled over onto her back in the tall grass and watched the clouds. Once she layed down, all sorts of creatures came up beside her. They layed with her calmly like they had no care in the world. She felt very at peace with her life right now.

Noralie was running through the meadow, not caring about the flowers she smashed with her feet on the way. She had to get to Kini. There was an aweful storm coming. She could sense it. Kakalina would be so upset with her if she let anything happen to Kini. She looked behind herself to where the sky was darkening slowly. There were a couple raindrops on her arm already. She sped up, looking closely for Kini.

Kini heard Noralie coming from the very begining of the meadow. She decided to play a game with her. She creeped up behind her and followed Noralie as she ran through the meadow.

Noralie stopped to catch her berath. She had been running for what seemed like hours and her throat burned. She laid down on the grass and looked up at the sky. The sky wasn't darkening. It wasn't raining. Mabye Kakalina sent her to get Kini for another reason. A light breeze blew loose strands of hair from her bun into her face. Noralie sighed. It was peacefull out here.

Kini silently laid dwn by Noralie. She just stared up at the sky with the other girl. Kini could tell that she had not been spotted so she randomly said, "Isn't it peaceful out here?"

Noralie gasped and jumped about a foot in the air. Kini had startled her. She laid her hand over her heart. "Goodness Kini! Are you trying to kill me?" She said laughing.

Kini had been laughing the entire time. She wasnt sure how Noralie did it but she had managed to jump a foot in the air while laying flat on her back! Kini was greatly entertained. She was laughing too hard to respond.
((lol I typed respong. hehe))

Noralie laughed with Kini. Really she didn't jump a foot in the air, it was more like a hyperbolie ((look it up in the dictionary)) Noralie stood up and brushed off her skirt. "Kakalina told me to get you. She said there was a storm coming!" Noralie managed to say after she stopped laughing. Kini was still laughing like CRAZY! It was so funny to watch her laugh.

Kini was rolling around on the tall grass. Noralie was greatly amusing. She was trying to act all sofisticated and such as she brushed her skirt off and that just made Kini laugh harder. She managed to get this phrase out between fits of laughter: "No storm. Clear skies." She she whiped her tears with her dirty fingers and left mud streaks on her face with them. Those silly streaks made her laugh harder!

Noralie stared at Kini. "Are you... Okay?" She was concerned now because if something happened to Kini... She noticed Kini was having problems with major laughing and hoped that she could still breathe okay. She stood still and tried not to do anything that would make Kini laugh.

Kini felt her stomach tense. "Ow! Ow!" she said while laughing. "It hurts!" she could feel the muscles in her stomach tense and untense. She hadn't laughed this way in a long time. She liked it! Then Kini noticed how still Noralie had become. She slowly stopped laughing and looked at her. "What?" she asked with severe consern in her voice.

Noralie stared at Kini for a second. "Are you done laughing? I don't want to do anything that would bake you laugh even more," Noralie said, slowly relaxing her muscles. She was still conserned by Kini's ow-ing.

Kini chuckled. "Noralie you need to losen up. I'm a teenager. Teenager. Not someone on death's row! It's just laughing silly!" she said cheerfully trying to lighten the mood. "So what were you looking for me for?"

"I really have no idea. Kakalina wanted me to get you before the storm came. I have no idea what storm she was talking about," Noralie said, gesturing toward the sky. She smiled and sat back down next to Kini.

"Oh." Kini said. She thought for a while. "Noralie, how come we don't hang out anymore, just the two of us. I always feel like you are more concerned with pleasing my mom than having fun wth me. We are best friends. We need to have fun!" She put in a fake pout trying her hardest not to laugh. She really did miss her best friend though.
